ENCAUSTIC SPECS

Encaustic tile as in the past, are hand-produced one by one.

Made from an ingenious combination of marble powder, cement, water, sand and natural mineral pigments, these tiles are environmentally friendly and sustainable, just like many centuries ago.

​

No heating is involved during the production as the tiles are not kiln-fired.

​

Encaustic Tiles are characterized by its particular colour shading, matte finish and smooth texture and, of course, countless designs.

​

These are hand-crafted products and so there will, of course, be some variations in colour tone and natural character that make them unique. Shade variation is inherent in encaustic cement tiles and certain tiles will show greater variation within their lots.
